How to Rename Android Apps Easily

Have you ever wanted to rename an app on your Android smartphone or tablet that is already installed?

Perhaps you are unaware that this is a simple process when dealing with program icons on the home screen and in the list. You will not be able to rename the programs themselves, and their titles will remain same whether you go inside them or search for them in the Settings – Applications area. Icons will be discussed further down.

There are 3 Easy Ways to Rename Android Apps

The first method is in the launcher (Nova/Apex)

To change the name of the program shortcut, you must first install a custom launcher for Android. For example, Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher, both of which can be downloaded for free from Google Play, are acceptable. Nova Launcher is utilized in our sample. Assume you’ve installed it and set it as your default.

Xposed Is a framework with a collection of modules that allows for extremely versatile Android modification. The xRenamer module is meant for renaming apps, and it changes the names shown not just on the home screen but also in other locations.

  • find the xRenamer module
  • Go to the download website, download it, install it, and then activate it in the “Modules” section and reboot the device.

The third approach is to use the QuickShortcutMaker program.

QuickShortcutMaker modifies the names solely on the start page and, unlike the launcher, does not alter the device’s interface in any way.

How does QuickShortcutMaker work?

Install and run this application from Google Play – you will see a list of all programs you have installed. Click on any item, on the right side of the screen, pick the option “Tap to change label” – the text box will appear.
